In this year’s awards for “Off-roader of the Year”, 38,868 readers voted in twelve categories. The choice covered a total of 123 vehicles.
In Category I “Special Vehicles”, the SEIKEL T5 Extreme ranked second behind the Unimog with 12.4% of the votes.
SEIKEL Volkswagen Transporter T5 Extreme
With the T5 Extreme, SEIKEL has developed an off-road vehicle which permits use far beyond normal requirements.
The conversion comprises portal axles, a body lifting kit and 265/70 R17 tyres. This achieves a ground clearance of just under 40 cm – more than double the production height.
In addition, the snorkel and the raised gearbox ventilation allows a fording depth of approx. 1 m and a climbing ability of 45° = 100%.
These are just a few of the technical specifications of the SEIKEL T5 Extreme which are highly practical in certain sectors such as rescue services, forestry, the police, the armed forces or individual tourists.
